A new chief technology officer for Vitamin Shoppe to a new marketing executive for personalized nutrition company Persona, here’s a round-up of people on the move in the industry:

NutriScience Innovations, Dr. Michael Lelah, Chief Science Officer

Ingredient supplier NutriScience​ appointed Dr. Michael Lelah as its new chief science officer. Dr. Lelah will lead the company’s scientific and innovation initiatives as well as quality and regulatory functions. He comes to NutriScience with a wealth of experience in the dietary supplement and nutraceutical industries.

The Vitamin Shoppe: Andrew Laudato, Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

Supplements retailer Vitamin Shoppe​ appointed Andrew Laudato as its executive vice president, chief technology officer. He brings with him over two decades of experience in information technology, enterprise project planning, as well as supply chain.

For the past two years, Laudato was Chief Information Officer at Brookdale Senior Living where he was a member of the executive leadership team with responsibility for all aspects of technology including back office, sales and marketing among other areas.  Prior to that he spent 15 years as Chief Information Officer at Pier 1 where he led several key initiatives including creating and executing a comprehensive IT and corporate strategy and led an enterprise-wide process efficiency initiative.

Persona: Cynthia Trumpey, Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO, Cynthia Trumpey will oversee the integrated marketing programs of Persona​, a personalized nutrition supplement company, helping build brand awareness and drive sales of the company’s customized daily vitamin packs.

She brings with her more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she was senior vice president of marketing at Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Trumpey holds an MBA in marketing and finance from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management and earned a Level 1 Certification from Precision Nutrition, the largest private nutrition coaching and education company in the world.

Boulder Botanicals: David Gumner, Chief Marketing Officer

Boulder Botanical & Bioscience Laboratory (BBB Labs)​, a specialist in hemp-derived products for the health and wellness sector, appointed David Gumner as chief marketing officer, a new executive position for the company.

As CMO for Colorado-based BBB Labs, Mr. Gumner is responsible for building foundational marketing capabilities throughout the company. As a specialist in marketing consumer packaged goods (CPG), he brings more than 30 years of experience creating, building, and re-staging brands for companies and products in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

Bell Flavors & Fragrances​ hired Chelsea Gannage, marketing specialist, who will work out of the company’s headquarters in Northbrook, IL.

Previously, she worked at market research consultancy Lieberman Research Worldwide, where she held a marketing position. Prior, she was living abroad in Madrid, Spain, where she worked for Kellogg’s and obtained her MSc in Corporate Communication. She holds a B.A. in Advertising from Michigan State University.
