Balchem announces call for innovative ingredients
The new summit, branded as the TrenDish Innovation Summit, will take place as a Microsoft Teams event on March 15, 2022.
The deadline for submission to participate is Dec. 22, 2021. Companies that have been chosen to make a virtual pitch will be notified by Feb. 15, 2022, the Balchem statement said.
“This approach will increase the level of collaboration between peers in the business to business (B2B) space to bring the most relevant innovations forward to the dietary supplement and food & beverage space. Our transparency and clear direction will help suppliers focus their efforts in key areas that create synergy with Balchem core technologies and focus areas,” said Jim Hyde, senior vice president and general manager of Balchem Health & Nutrition.
The company said it’s most interested in ingredients that support the consumer wellness areas of cognition, sleep, performance, and plant-based solutions.
Balchem supplies products for human, animal and plant nutrition. It has three lines relevant to the supplement space: the Albion line of chelated minerals (which Balchem acquired in 2016), VitaCholine, a branded form of choline, and the VitaShure line of encapsulated ingredients.
