Nutrition and weight control roundtable
Wednesday the U.S. launch of Nutribar, a meal replacement bar
Canadian nutritional bar company Stella Pharmaceutical announced on Wednesday the U.S. launch of Nutribar, a meal replacement bar. As part of the launch the company has organised a roundtable on nutrition and weight loss. The roundtable will take place in New York City on October 18th. Moderated by Barbara Levine from Human Nutrition Program at The Rockefeller University topics covered will include, "Sensory Perception: What Influences Why We Eat the Way We Eat?'' and "Brain Chemistry: Satiety and Chemical Reactions that Occur When You are Full'' . ``For the satiety roundtable we are bringing together leading experts on satiety, nutrition and diet to look at why food calls us and how we respond both physically and psychologically,'' said Brenda Embree, Vice President, Marketing at Stella Pharmaceutical. Nutribar is part of a nutritional weight-loss program that consists of replacing one or two meals a day with Nutribar. According to Stella Pharmaceutical the bar provides the proteins, carbohydrates and fats of a well-balanced meal but has only 250 calories, compared to a regular well-balanced meal which can average 700 calories. It also includes 24 vitamins and minerals.
