Lehvoss strengthens Nordic presence with Engredo venture

The agreement sees Lehvoss’ Nutrition business unit combine its nutritional, sales, marketing and regulatory knowhow with Engredo’s product range with a view to strengthen the business in the Nordics and unearth new opportunities in Europe.

“The merger with Lehvoss will allow us to join forces with a company which complements our business perfectly, by way of widening our product portfolio significantly,”​ said Engrado, a Denmark-based provider of ingredients for the food, food supplement and pharma industries.

“It also enables us to serve our clients and partners on multiple levels and all the way from the ingredient supply to product development and launch of new and innovative solutions in the field of food, food supplements and pharma.” ​

In a statement, Engrado also highlighted the, “support of a large network and a group that has a strong presence in many European countries, which makes Lehvoss a strong and long-term partner with the ability to serve their clients on all levels in future.”​

“The working ethos of both companies will ensure a good future as both businesses continue to provide quality service, speciality nutraceuticals and minerals to the industry.”​

Lehvoss, based in the UK, had earlier this year partnered up with Verdure Sciences in a deal that made the polyphenol blend Restoridyn available to sports nutrition brands throughout Europe.

Previous partnerships include one with Nating, where Lehvoss are European distributors of Mediterranean extracts manufactured by the Italian firm, which are combined with functional carriers to offer health benefits.
