Experts from GOED, NBTY, Wiley’s Finest, Cornell University, and will discuss the market forces, science, supply chain, and future opportunities in omega-3s in a FREE forum hosted by NutraIngredients-USA.

Omega-3s have established themselves as a star player in the dietary supplements category, with retail sales of EPA and DHA supplements in food, drug, mass and natural channels estimated to be $550 million. Expand to include the direct, MLM, internet, practitioner channels, and the number rises to $1.2 billion, according to GOED.

This success has led to significant consolidation in the industry, particularly on the supply side.

The science is also growing almost exponentially with omega-3s being linked to an ever increasing number of health benefits.

But it hasn’t all be plain sailing for omega-3s, with reports of falling or stagnant sales following negative media reports of select studies, and questions over the sustainability of the supply chain.

In this one hour forum, NutraIngredients-USA will dive deeply into the omega-3 waters for answers.
