For Vera Mogna, the interest in microbiology and a foundation firmly rooted in research goes back several generations, starting with her great grandfather, then her grandfather and most recently her father, Giovanni.

After Giovanni passed away in 2018, Vera took the helm of Probiotical SpA.

In her role, Vera focuses on research and commercial strategies. One of her biggest contributions was expanding the company's offer with a vast supply of finished and raw materials, leading to a significant increase in customers.

As the first female to lead the company, Vera said its both challenging and exciting.

“It is a challenge from one side, but is this an opportunity from the other side because nowadays, the importance of women is growing,” said Vera Mogna, CEO of Probiotical SpA. “What I want to do from my side is to continue strong research and [pay] attention to the study's clinical results and so on. And as my father had, I want to continue [to provide]  the same opportunities for men and women. In fact, in our company, we also have a lot of women in high positions because my father taught me that.”
