Save the Date! NutraIngredients-USA’s Sports & Active Nutrition Summit returns to San Diego, February 15-17, 2023. The event brings together scientists, formulators, consultants, and regulatory experts to move the sports nutrition category forward.

The event will again take place at the Hyatt Regency in San Diego on beautiful Mission Bay and will kick off with a session exploring the modern sports nutrition consumer​. The mainstreaming of the category means that a diverse set of consumers are seek more accessible products to integrate into their active lifestyle.

Confirmed speakers for this session include Ken Huntly, Sr. Director of Merchandising for GNC; Joshua Schall, JSchall Consulting; and SPINS.

The esports opportunity

Esports is huge, and new products and ingredients are coming to market to support supplements targeting gamers and the gaming community, but brand authenticity is key.

Confirmed speakers for this session include Eric Huml, CMO at Advanced.gg, and Jason Chung, Director, Esports and Gaming Initiative at the NYU Tisch Institute for Global Sport.

CBD/Hemp for sports nutrition

With the NFL awarding $1 million in research funding on cannabinoids for pain management and in neuroprotection and famous athletes like Alex Morgan investing in CBD brands, we could just be on cusp of something big for hemp-derived CBD in the sports nutrition space.
