As the Director of Marketing, Cerda oversees a marketing team of 25 people who are responsible for the company’s website and digital efforts, e-commerce marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, trade shows, graphic design, and retailer training/education. She has led an expansion of the company’s marketing efforts, such as launching its first-ever fully-integrated national brand advertising campaign.
"I've been lucky, I've had quite a few wonderful female mentors since working in the natural products industry and I work with quite a few women on my team as well and I think giving them the opportunity to network, to attend trade shows, just continue to do training and give them access to resources. I think those are important things and I have a wonderful team that I work with and try to support them as much as I can," said Cerda.
As a mother of two, Cerda said she appreciates working for a family-owned company like NOW that respects work-life balance.
"Working for NOW, it's a company that really does believe in work life balance. When I was hired at NOW, I was actually pregnant with my second child. And so they really did invest in me and they believed in me," said Cerda. "I'm coming up on my 10-year anniversary, but they've always been just a company that has believed in work-life balance. When I'm at home, I'm focused on home when I'm at work, I'm focused on work."
