From fiber to probiotics to enzymes, the $1 billion digestive health category is a dominant force in the dietary supplement industry. But what’s the latest research, or gaps in research, that can take the category to the next level?

Back in June during the IPA World Congress Probiota Americas conference in San Francisco, we surveyed attendees, presenters, and exhibitors alike about what they think is next in digestive health.

Responses ranged from increasing consumer awareness to the connectedness of the human digestive system to other parts of the body, to the use of novel ingredients.
