UNPA adds 13 new companies to its membership roster

Utah-based the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) has added 13 new companies as members, including Nutrabolt, Taane Co., Trace Minerals and Uckele Health & Nutrition as Executive Members.

UNPA announced it had also added by two Science & Technology Services members and seven Associate members, taking its membership to almost 120 companies from around the world.

Loren Israelsen, UNPA president, commented: “Twenty-five years after the historic passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, this diverse group of new UNPA members accurately represents the elevation and expansion of the dietary supplement industry.

“We look forward to the contributions of these innovative companies to the organization, and we warmly welcome the expertise and insights they provide our members and the broader industry as we work to maintain and grow the trust of the dietary supplement consumer base.”

Executive members

Nutrabolt, which owns the brands Cellucor and XTEND, and include C4 and XTEND BCAAs, was founded in 2002. The company’s sports nutrition products are distributed in more than 100 countries through specialty, big box and online retailers.  

Japan’s Taane Co LTD has developed a patented manufacturing process to produce a negative hydrogen powder derived from calcium coral, which is useful as both a functional food ingredient and as an antioxidant dietary supplement. Taane also offers bulk capsule and private label services.

Trace Minerals Research offers over 85 finished products, including a top selling trace mineral, a top selling liquid magnesium, and the top-selling Trace Mineral Performance Nutrition brand.

Family-owned Uckele Health & Nutrition has been formulating and manufacturing dietary supplements for people, dogs and horses for over 50 years.

Science & Technology Services members

ISURA: An independent, not-for-profit, natural-health supplement and food-product verification and certification organization.

Sensapure Flavors: A custom flavor house with an R&D center located in Anaheim, Calif., and a 55,000-sq.-ft. campus in Salt Lake City.

New Associate members

FoodWise One: A diversified, technical-product development and positioning firm for natural, organic specialty foods, dietary supplements, cannabis (medical and recreational), hemp and lifestyle products.

Carl Germano Consulting International: The firm offers expertise in developing products for the dietary supplement, medical food, functional beverage and natural cosmetic industries.

New Leaf Communications: Experts in content development and strategy, content marketing, market research, communications and public relations.

Parsons, Behle & Latimer: a law firm established in 1882, which delivers legal service to its clients for more than 137 years.

Pure Branding: A strategic consulting, market research and brand-development agency for integrative health & wellness companies—helping dietary supplement, functional food and personal care companies achieve brand clarity.

Trontz Integrated Marketing & Design: A creative agency, which works with companies in the natural products and healthy lifestyle space.
