Xoted Biotechnology Labs is putting science and sustainability at the forefront by launching a new R&D facility in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Spearheading the effort is Dr. Christina Rahm, founder and chief science officer at DRC Ventures, who is making her mark on the nutraceutical industry by pushing the boundaries of biotechnology to create global solutions.

The $4.2 million investment in clean manufacturing will aim to provide groundbreaking biotechnology practices and sustainable product development, including plant-based detoxification, seed research, and oil refinement, highlighting Dr. Rahm’s advanced background in sustainable manufacturing, patents, nanotechnology, nutrition, entrepreneurship and more.

Drawing from her personal health journey and extensive global experiences, Dr. Rahm said the new facility is part of her plan to innovate and elevate manufacturing standards that allow her to sell products across 92 counties.

“It would have been a lot easier just to be in the United States. But I wanted to develop a system throughout these countries where there was banking and logistics and registration and compliance,” she said.

“I learned so much from all these countries that I’ve worked in, from presidents and prime ministers and doctors and scientists. So I think one of the key things about the companies that I work in, I don’t just go in and sell products. I go in and source products for manufacturing. I create an educational environment so we can train people through different types of organizations or through government. And I work to understand each culture and each environment.”

Despite the challenges of navigating different regulations in various countries, Dr. Rahm said she prioritizes quality by conducting extensive testing and obtaining multiple certifications. She emphasized that maintaining high standards requires significant effort and investment, but it is crucial for consumer safety. Her commitment to excellence reflects her broader business strategy, with the goal of expanding into even more global markets.
