InstantGMP updates service with additional SOPs

The software, branded as InstantGMP Pro, helps supplement firms institute and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices in their manufacturing facilities.  One of the key parts of the software is a document management function, which has now been upgraded with the additional SOP templates, the company says.

InstantGMP helps manufacturers take the generation of documents fully into the digital realm.  Its automated document generation and tracking functions replace the plethora of clipboards which are still a feature of some manufacturing facilities.

Creating more specific SOPs

A lack of adequate documentation has been one of the most often cited failures by FDA inspectors during GMP inspections.  Key among these failures are a lack of SOPs for various procedures, or SOPs that are insufficiently detailed.

InstantGMP claims its new SOP update means that companies will no longer have to make do with overly generic templates.  The 115 new templates will be better fit for purpose and won’t require the after the fact customization and guesswork implied with cruder templates, said Dr Richard Soltero, president of InstantGMP.
