UAS Labs achieves Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FFSSC 22000)
The certification also provides a framework for effectively managing the organization’s food safety responsibilities moving forward, said the company in a press release.
The Madison-based company achieved the certification in just 17 months after gaining occupancy of their new, state-of-the-art facility.
“We had the unique experience of building this facility from the ground up which allowed us to design and engineer quality into each step of the probiotic fermentation process,” said Kim Rivard, Director of Quality. “This level of upfront control and design made obtaining this certification a smoother process than I've experienced.”
Kevin Mehring, UAS Labs CEO, added: “The FSSC 22000 certificate is a proud step for us in the direction of the high-level excellence we strive to achieve every day. We hold food safety and quality in the highest esteem so that we can continue to provide products that support the education and improvement of health and wellbeing worldwide.”
The UAS Labs facilities is also Kosher Certified, Halal Certified, Non-GMP Project Certified and FSSC 22000. The Wausau, WI finished goods manufacturing facility is certified: NSF GMP, USDA Organic, Kosher, Halal, Gluten Free and Non-GMO.
