This was the point emphasised in this exclusive video interview with Eric Meppem from Pharmako Biotechnologies at the recent NutraIngredients Omega-3 Summit in Singapore.
Meppem explains how even high-end fish oils can differ considerably, and reveals the benefits that can be reaped by tailor-made approaches to increase absorption via the firm's AquaCelle technology.
In the video, he recaps on the findings of three recent clinical trials undertaken by the University of Queensland in conjunction with RDC Global.
For example, in one ttrial involving 60 participants, it was shown that AquaCelle could boost the bioavailability of lipophilic active ingredients in the body by 600% within 24 hours.
Meppem also discusses how the delivery system technology can allow firms to innovate around product formats and reduces size and dosage, as well as revealing some of the company’s future research plans.
