From its sports nutrition opportunities in Australia, its eye care benefits for the China market, and its healthy ageing potential across the region, astaxanthin products have the scope for significant business growth in Asia Pacific, according to one expert.

Dr Mark Miller, the global ambassador for AstaReal, recently delivered a keynote presentation at Complementary Medicine Australia's (CMA) Innovation Summit in Sydney.

But before he took the stage, we had the chance to discuss the latest research, consumer understanding and business opportunities for the ingredient across the region.

In the video, Dr Miller assesses the multiple health benefits of astaxanthin, including sports performance and recovery, skin and eye health, and the crucial role it plays in healthy ageing.
