Registration is now open for CRN’s Sixth Annual Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Forum on Dietary Supplements to take place in New York City, June 18-20 at the Intercontinental New York Times Square.

The event will be co-chaired by Steve Mister, president and CEO of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), and Scott Bass, partner at law firm Sidley Austin LLP.

For the fourth consecutive year, CRN is collaborating with the American Conference Institute (ACI).

This event for the legal, regulatory and compliance stakeholders of the dietary supplement industry will provide ‘state of the union updates,’ and allow for the opportunity to discuss and assess the politics and policy shaping the industry’s current political, legislative, and regulatory atmosphere.

“The recent news of Orrin Hatch’s impending retirement marks the end of an era for the industry. As the industry’s most powerful and esteemed advocate leaves the Senate, industry watchers ponder what this will mean for the future of DSHEA and the industry’s self- regulation efforts in the era of Trump deregulation,” according to a description of the conference on the registration page on ACI’s website.

“As the days of the Hatch era sunset, a new era also begins. The industry’s new resolve to police itself and weed out bad actors, coupled with industry-led compliance efforts firmly establishes its place as a public health advocate,” it continues.

This year’s agenda will be designed to address the impact of these developments as well their effect on long-term business strategies and industry growth. Details of the agenda are currently under development and will be posted on ACI's website.
