William Reed published an article under the heading "Sabinsa acts against curcumin adulteration" dated 3 June 2015 on its website www.nutraingredients-usa.com.  The article was subsequently removed on the direction of the Bangalore Court in case number: O.S. No.4898/2015. This article, amongst others, alleged that a Magistrate Court in Bangalore has directed the police to investigate Bayir Extracts Private Limited for allegedly adulterating its curcumin products with synthetic material. In fact we have since been informed by Bayir Extracts and we have also personally ascertained that no such order for investigation was passed as on date of the publication. In view of this development and while we remain unaware of the veracity of the allegations regarding adulteration levelled against Bayir Extracts; which allegation was reported in our article pursuant to inputs from M/s. Sabinsa Corporation, we wish to apologise to Bayir Extracts for the publication of inaccurate information and for consequences, if any, that have arisen in this regard.
