ANVISA – the National Health Surveillance Agency in Brazil – has approved InterHealth’s UC-II for sale in finished products in Brazil.

“Approval in Brazil is a very important step in the success of UC-II. Today’s announcement paves the way for efficacious joint-health support for millions,” commented Paul Dijkstra, president and CEO of InterHealth Nutraceuticals.

“We look forward to the launch by EMS Pharmaceuticals in July 2015 in the OTC market and know that with this approval sports nutrition companies as well as food and beverage companies will be looking to add UC-II to their products.”

The approval is said to be the first undenatured type II collagen approved as an ingredient by ANVISA (filed under #25351697880201324).  UC-II is a patented form of undenatured type II collagen derived from chicken sternum.
