Stratum Nutrition has added the oral probiotics BLIS K12 and BLIS M18 to its specialty product portfolio.

Both ingredients are specific strains of Streptococcus salivarius (S. salivarius), which secrete powerful antimicrobial molecules called BLIS: Bacteriocin-Like-Inhibitory Substances.

BLIS K12 is an oral probiotic that is said to support healthy bacteria in the mouth for long-term fresh breath and immune support.

BLIS M18 is an oral probiotic that is said to support healthy teeth and gums. The strain is reported to populate the oral cavity with beneficial bacteria providing a less hospitable environment for other opportunistic bacteria like Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) to thrive.

Stratum Nutrition is a Novus International Business focusing on nutrition through functional and specialty ingredients.
