BASF ups vitamin B5 price
BASF has increased the price of calcium D-pantothenate (vitamin B5) for human and animal use by €1.4 per kg as it responds to raw material cost rises.
The change takes effect immedialtely globally unless contractual obligations state otherwise.
In October the company will shut down vitamin B5 production, “for a few weeks” to perform a routine overhaul but it said the closure will have no effect on its clients’ orders.
Calcium D-pantothenate is the salt of pantothenic acid.
