Sabinsa founder honored by Long Island University

Muhammed Majeed, PhD, founder of Sabinsa, has received the Daniel Stateman Distinguished Alumni Award by Long Island University’s Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

“I was honored to be recognized with this prestigious award by the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences,”​ said Dr Majeed. “It caused me to reflect upon what my goals were then, and recognize how fortunate I have been to see my dream of making a significant impact of people’s heath become real.”

Dr Majeed founded Sabinsa in 1988, and the company has offered more that 100 products for human nutrition and well-being, and over the course of 20 years, has evolved into a global corporation with operations on five continents. The combined companies have nearly 800 employees.

Dr Majeed earned his master’s degree in 1980 in industrial pharmacy from Long Island University.
