AHPA president: nothing to fear from AER
“There are good protections in it,” American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) president, Michael McGuffin, said. “We haven’t seen anybody – the FDA or the media – try and turn a report of an adverse event into some negative news article.”
Companies are becoming more familiar and comfortable with a self-reporting system that intends to bolster the safety of the dietary supplements category and act, among other things, as a ready-made quick-response system.
