IADSA adds Russia and Brazil to global network

The Russian Council of Dietary Supplement, Nutrient and Healthy Food Producers (CDSP) and the Brazilian Association of Foods for Special Dietary Uses Industry (ABIAD) are the latest groups to join the world’s eminent international food supplements trade body.

The International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) now counts 55 member associations among its number.

CDSP was formed about a year ago and has seven member companies engaged in the manufacture or marketing of food supplements in Russia.ABIAD has 31 Brazilian member companies, 40 per cent of which are directly engaged in the food supplement business.

“We are delighted to welcome CDSP and ABIAD into our global network,” said Byron Johnson, IADSA Chairman. “One of the priorities of IADSA is to support existing associations and help create new associations across the globe. Together we will continue to work towards building an international platform for debate, and a sound legislative and political environment for the development of dietary supplement markets worldwide.”
