Amerilab Technologies, a contract manufacturer of effervescent
products, has commissioned a new production facility that will
increase its capacity for effervescent tablets by 400 per cent.

The company currently claims to be the only US effervescent tablet manufacturer in the nutritional industry with capacity of 500 million tablets per year.
The new automated facility will be dedicated to high-speed production and cartoning of effervescent tablets in polypropylene or aluminum tubes.
Amerilab has also filed patent applications for four new effervescent formulations - cranberry extract, menthol and eucalyptus oil tablets for sinus congestion, grape skin extracts, and a patent for specific use of steviocides in an effervescent tablet formulation.
Six to eight additional patents on effervescent technologies and fast dissolve technologies are expected to be filed this year, said the company.
