SourceOne to market cholesterol-lowering Sytrinol
alliance with Seltzer Nutritional Technologies (SNT), a division of
Seltzer Chemicals, for its patented cholesterol-lowering product
Sytrinol.
Sytrinol, launched in November 2002, is derived from citrus and composed of polymethoxylated flavones and tocotrienols. SNT claims that Sytrinol has ben clinically proven to reduce total cholesterol by 23 per cent, reduce low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol by 21 per cent and reduce triglycerides 26 per cent. Unlike other cholesterol supplements, Sytrinol is believed to be non-diet specific with no known side effects.
Ingredient supplier SourceOne Global Partners is hoping the partnership will enable it to expand distribution and meet demand.
"We have had an overwhelming response for Sytrinol since its launch in August 2003, and look forward to working with Seltzer to meet the growing demand," said Jesse Lopez, SourceOne president.
SNT focuses on formulating and blending custom micro-nutrients. In 2000 it opened an expanded manufacturing facility at their Carlsbad headquarters in Southern California.
