Health Canada has now issued two warnings against a supplement
contaminated with the drug sildenafil, known under the brand name
Viagra.

The agency issued a second warning for Bell Magic Bullet, after the company that distributes the product, Bell Distributors, refused to remove the product from the shelves.

Sildenafil is a prescription drug approved for male erectile dysfunction but it can cause severe adverse reactions in individuals using heart medication or other products.

The first warning was issued on November 14 regarding two products, Stamen and Bell Magicc Bullet. The distributor for Stamen (which also contained sildenafil), RandA Foods based in Ontario, complied with Health Canada's request to remove their product from the shelves.

Neither product had been labelled to show that it contains sildenafil. No adverse reports have yet been associated with the use of Bell Magicc Bullet.
