Wacker Specialties is introducing a cranberry seed oil gamma-cyclodextrin inclusion complex, in conjunction with the Hoboken, New Jersey-based firm Regal Trade and Consult, to the nutraceutical industry at Supply Side West next month.

OmegaDry Cranberry, which can be used in drinks, dairy foods, bakery and confectionery products, as well as nutraceuticals and personal care products, was first launched at the IFT in Chicago in July.

The ingredient is said to be a highly stable, free flowing powder, which is easily dispersible in aqueous systems and can be added to mixtures.

It contains 45 per cent cranberry seed oil and naturally occurring omega-3 EFA, tocopherols, phytosterols and lecithin. Wacker, which generated sales of €502 million in 2002, is said to be the world's leading producer of cyclodextrin products.

Supply Side West takes place from October 1-3 in Las Vegas.
