Supplement maker Solanova has introduced a softgel multivitamin said to enable increased absorption of the nutrients.

"Many multivitamin supplements are incompletely absorbed in the body, so no matter how many you take, their nutrients are not sufficiently assimilated and utilized," said Deepak Chopra, president of Solanova.

She added that people will begin experiencing the benefits of the supplements, called MultiSential Plus, within a few days.

The supplement comes in a split-dose form (two softgels a day at separate intervals), which helps generate constant blood levels throughout the day, says Solanova. And unlike many multivitamins offered in tablets or other forms, the softgels are pleasantly flavored and odor-controlled, making them easier to swallow.

The multivitamin is designed for people of all ages and contains several potent antioxidants - such as alpha-Lipoic acid, lycopene, zeaxanthin and lutein - as well as vitamins.

MultiSential Plus is currently available through Solanova's website and will soon be sold by natural foods retailers and distributors worldwide.
