Supply Side West to close the year

6th annual SupplySide West show taking place in Las Vegas in
December this year.
More than 5,000 researchers, marketers and executives from dietary supplement, functional food and personal care companies are expected to attend the 6th annual SupplySide West trade show and conference taking place in Las Vegas, US from 4-6 December this year, according to organisers Virgo Publishing.
The event will feature nearly 600 exhibitors and attracts product development, marketing and management executives from leading consumer products companies worldwide.
"The undeniable consumer trend is toward foods, beverages and products that promote health and well being," said Jon Benninger, group publisher at Virgo Publishing. "People are taking more control over their own health, and the products developed at this event empower them to do so."
Exhibitors at SupplySide West include the largest suppliers of health ingredients, such as Roche Vitamins, Degussa BioActives, Cargill Health & Food Technologies, Cognis Nutrition & Health and DuPont Protein Technologies, as well as hundreds of other innovative suppliers.
There will also be seminars and discussions on product quality, industry regulation, emerging science and market trends. The keynote address will be delivered by boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard. Other speakers include representatives from the Federal Trade Commission, Avon, the American Herbal Products Association, the Council for Responsible Nutrition, Euromonitor International, The Cooper Institute, the Natural Marketing Institute and the National Nutritional Foods Association.
The programme also includes 14 scientific presentations in which companies will provide information about their newest ingredients and research. Speakers will cover topics such as phyto-minerals, bioactive proteins for enhanced immunity, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) for weight management, glycerophosphocholine for mental performance and zinc-carnosine for gastrointestinal health.
