'Super water' gets Canadian distributor
from October following agreement with Alfresh Beverages.
Life O2, the super-oxygenated water produced by BEVsystems International, will soon be available to consumers in Canada following the signing of a distribution agreement with Alfresh Beverages Canada.
Alfresh expects to see significant interest in the water, and is predicting sales in the region of 150,000 cases during the first 12 months. Distribution of the water will begin in October.
Alfresh, a leading manufacturer and distributor of quality juice and fruit-flavoured beverages including Arizona Iced Tea, Orangina, Stewart's Soda and Tropical Rhythms Fruit Drinks, has a well-established distribution network throughout Canada, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
Under terms of its agreement with BEVsystems, Alfresh will distribute Life O2 in Canada to more than 50,000 food-service outlets, grocery stores, convenience stores and other retail outlets in Canada.
Bob Tatum, chairman and chief executive officer of BEVsystems International, said: "Our distribution agreement with Alfresh Beverages Canada is consistent with BEVsystems' growth strategy to secure strategic alliances with companies that have significant distribution networks and the capacity to place our products on the shelves of leading retailers in key geographic regions."
Life O2, which contains up to 1,500 per cent more oxygen then normal water, is already available in 22 countries worldwide, and BEVsystems International has benefited from increasing scientific evidence about the benefits of super-oxygenated water.
These include improved performance and endurance, reduced body stress, increased extension strength, decreased pulse rate and improved ability to maintain blood-glucose levels. Studies involving cyclists, triathletes and runners confirmed improved performance as a result of drinking Life O2, the company claims.
