BioTech of the US has introduced a new weight loss supplement called Norexin which it claims will enable consumers to lose weight without any unwanted side-effects which may be related to the use of other slimming products.

Norexin contains both ephedrine and caffeine, a combination which has been found to be particularly effective in reducing weight, the company said. The ephedrine:caffeine ratio of 1:10 in Norexin is said to help increase the metabolism and suppress appetite while at the same time blocking fat cell storage.

It is this ratio, combined with a BioTech's proprietary blend of nutraceuticals, which the company claims can help prevent the unwanted side-effects caused by other ephedrine and caffeine supplements.

"It's been known for years that combining ephedrine and caffeine is an effective way to shed pounds. One of the biggest problems has been the negative side-effects people experience when they take too much ephedrine and caffeine. People get wired and experience what is commonly referred to as the jitters," said Greg Kelly, BioTech Corporation's president and founder.

"Our special proprietary formulations, which lower and properly balance these two proven ingredients, don't produce jitters," he added.

Norexin derives its source of caffeine from the green tea leaf, which also provides L-Theanine, a 'mood enhancer' which is said to promote a calming, focused effect. The product also contains AdipoVin, a proprietary grape seed extract ingredient which has the dual impact of both blocking fat storage and enhancing fat cell release, the company said.

Norexin also contains a 90mg antioxidant blend of polyphenols to help counter the potentially adverse effects of cell metabolism caused by the increase in the body's metabolism.
