Natural Health Sciences, the US-based producer of nutritional ingredients, has appointed public relations firm MWW to develop a new brand and communications strategy for its Pycnogenol product.

NHS is the North American distributor of Pycnogenol, an ingredient made from the extract of French maritime pine bark. The company wants to revamp it brand advertising to focus more on consumer markets in a bid to broaden the demand for Pycnogenol in the nutraceuticals, vitamin and dietary supplement markets.

"NHS supplies clinically proven and technology driven products and concepts that are based on solid scientific principles," said Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO of MWW. "This outreach campaign will inform the company's key constituencies about the benefits of Pycnogenol and educate retailers of NHS' dedication to marketing support, thereby creating a greater customer demand."

Natural Health Science has the exclusive rights to market and sell Pycnogenol and benefits from over 30 years of scientific research assuring the safety and efficacy of Pycnogenol as a dietary supplement.

"Natural Health Sciences is committed to expanding the Pycnogenol brand," said Jesse Lopez, executive vice president of NHS.
