Naturally Vitamins has launched a new generation of natural treatments for erectile disorder (ED) which are designed to offer men a wider range of options than are currently available.

Stimulin, the new treatment, contains a nutrient known as citrulline, a relatively specialized amino acid found in the body and the precursor that optimises blood flow by "pacing" the vasculature.

Mechanistically, citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which is a known inducer of nitric oxide. Thus by inducing the body's own vasodilator, citrulline ensures blood flow in sufficient amounts for erectile tissue and only delivers the amount of L-arginine that is needed by the body.

"There is a big concern over possible side effects from various ED treatments," said Dr. Aftab Ahmed, Director of Research and Development at Marlyn Nutraceuticals/Naturally Vitamins and former Associate professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Medical School.

"Men want to boost their libido without having to worry about other ill health effects the treatment might also carry. We are excited that this natural alternative will give men the confidence they need without the worry."
