Exogenous GABA boosts astaxanthin production: Study

New research from the Institute of Intelligent Machines (IIM), Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) in China found that the γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) can promote the growth of Haematococcus pluvialis and increase the astaxanthin accumulation.
