Venetron®: Safe, Effective Alternative to St. John’s Wort
Emotional disturbances, such as occasional stress and blue mood, are widespread in today’s world. St. John’s wort, while effective, is contraindicated with many pharmaceutical drugs and supplements through induction of CYP3A enzyme and intestinal P-glycoprotein.
Venetron® is a patented, purified, powdered extract of Apocynum venetum, which contains some of the same active constituents as St. John’s wort, but does not affect CYP3A and P-glycoprotein. Standardized to contain at least 4% hyperoside and isoquercitrin, Venetron has been shown in double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical research to promote a positive outlook, alleviate occasional stress, and improve sleep quality at a dosage of just 50 mg/day.
