The Contract Manufacturer (CMO) and Brand Owner need to work together from Day 1 to understand the requirements related to each new formula the Brand Owner develops.
If either party fails to consider these requirements, it is a recipe for delivery failure. For example, sourcing new raw materials requires the CMO to not only locate a source but also to qualify the source. Instead of taking days to accomplish this, it can take weeks.
The attached link to a whitepaper on Late Product Deliveries from Your Contract Manufacturer? will outline some of the considerations the Brand Owner need to take into account when planning for product deliveries from your CMO.
