LAYN’s Go-LuoTM (luo han guo) is GRAS approved

April 11, 2011: Guilin Layn Natural Ingredients received GRAS Approval for Go-Luo™ (luo han guo [monk fruit]).
FDA issued a no-objection letter to Guilin Layn Natural Ingredients Corp (LAYN) per GRAS Notice No. GRN 000359; Siraitia grosvenorii Swingle (Luo Han Guo) – Go-Luo™.
With GRAS status, LAYN will continue its commitment in fostering the development of Guo-Luo™ as a healthy, natural, non-caloric sweetener, and functional ingredient. In support, LAYN operates sustainable GAP cultivation farming, from plant tissue culture, cultivation, to final product - Go-Luo™.
Further, LAYN is core competent in cultivation and manufacturing of Stevia Rebaudioside A, with GRAS Affirmation (FDA GRN 354).
LAYN looks forward to exhibiting at SSW 2011 Las Vegas (LAYN booth# 23087 # 23089). During SSW, LAYN will also present Lovia™; a proprietary ingredient combining Stevia and Lou Han Guo. Lovia™ has a rounded, longer-lasting sweetness profile with a less prominent aftertaste typically associated with Stevia.
