Functional Cooking: Healthier Recipes with Nutritional Ingredients

Chef Gerard Viverito will discuss the importance of improving the quality of everyday meals. He will introduce the concept of "Functional Cooking," and describe how healthier meals can be created by adding various functional ingredients. He will discuss some of the functional ingredients he uses and the health benefits they provide. He will prepare several dishes (including gluten-free foods) demonstrating the functional cooking concept. Samples will be provided to seminar participants.
