The Organic & Natural Health Association will host its 10th annual conference from Jan. 21 to 23 at the B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Under the theme “Collaborate, Innovate and Regenerate”, the event will gather industry to consider topics tied to global sustainability and innovation, supply chain challenges, political influences and emerging threats to the planet’s health and humanity’s future.

“This year’s conference is an opportunity to explore how we can collaborate with global entities to strengthen the future of our industry,” said Karen Howard, CEO and executive director at the Organic & Natural Health Association. “We are convening the industry’s most visionary leaders to tackle pressing global challenges that are poised to reshape the natural products landscape in the near future.”

The pressing global challenges

Founded in 2014, the Organic & Natural Health Association continues to evolve in response to changing market dynamics while maintaining a commitment to advocating for consumer health and access to high-quality healthcare products, research and education.

Among the association’s key priorities going into next year are improving access to quality supplements in underserved communities, supporting research for better health outcomes, including supplements in SNAP benefits, educating the public about synthetic biology and combating misinformation surrounding dietary supplements—always prioritizing organic and natural.

“Having lived through the challenges of COVID and its implications for the supply chain, we understand the importance of resilience in a global market and believe that organic and regenerative practices are key to ensuring consumer access to quality goods,” Howard told Nutraingredients-USA. “It’s good for the planet, good for consumers, and thus, makes for good business.”

She also emphasized the importance of addressing ongoing threats like the growing reliance on genetically modified crops, changing trade agreements, climate concerns and geopolitical tensions.

On the agenda

Day one of the conference will kick off with a keynote by Marci Zaroff, founder and CEO of ECOfashion and founder of Beyond Brands, who will discuss how organic and regenerative practices can drive both environmental sustainability and business success.

The second keynote, delivered by Greg Horn, managing director and partner at investment banking services firm William Hood & Co., will explore the transformative potential of the next generation of organics and outline a global roadmap for achieving sustainability.

Panel discussions that day will cover global sustainability initiatives, business-to-business relationships in the supply chain and recent developments in synthetic biology.

On day two, Tom Aarts, founder and managing director of Nutrition Business Advisors, will deliver the day’s keynote, offering a comprehensive overview of the state of the industry.

This will be followed by three panels that will explore the incoming administration’s international policy stance, the intersection of women’s health and dietary supplements, and how to protect product integrity and credibility of the dietary supplement industry.

Registration for the Organic & Natural Health event is open to members, with invitations extended to guests and media on a selective basis.
