The Vitamin Shoppe is raising funds for Team Red, White & Blue to promote the health and wellness of U.S. military veterans.

Through July 2025, the dietary supplement retailer will donate $1 to Team RWB for each Altered Strength from BodyTech Elite pre-workout product purchased online and in store at The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements locations up to a maximum donation of $20,000.

“Altered Strength is proud to support Team RWB’s inspiring mission to strengthen the mental, emotional and physical health of veteran communities around the U.S.,” said Lee Wright, CEO at The Vitamin Shoppe. “My father is a retired Army officer who served in airborne Ranger, mechanized infantry and armor units throughout his career, so I can personally attest to how meaningful an organization like Team RWB can be for veterans and their families.”

The Vitamin Shoppe has supported Team RWB and its mission since 2020, raising over $200,000 to fund fitness and social activities for the non-profit’s 250,000-strong community of veterans, service members and military family members across the country.

Promoting veteran health and wellness

Activations championed through the partnership include Team RWB's Workout of the Day (WOD) for Warriors in which thousands of participants tackle a series of mountain climbers, power cleans and functional fitness exercises at hundreds of designated gyms across the country.

In 2021, The Vitamin Shoppe also sponsored the organization's Old Glory Relay that brought together over 5,000 veterans and their supporters to run a single “Old Glory” American flag 2,400 miles from Ground Zero in New York City to Team RWB headquarters in Atlanta—making pit stops at The Vitamin Shoppe stores along the way.

“We’re fired up to welcome Altered Strength from BodyTech Elite as a Team RWB supporter, building on our long-standing and impactful partnership with The Vitamin Shoppe,” said Mike Erwin, founder and executive director of Team RWB. “Over the past four years, the Health Enthusiast teams at The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements have been dynamic supporters of our signature programming, from WOD for Warriors to the Old Glory Relay, and this next step will continue to make a big impact in the lives of America’s veterans.”

The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements stores also offer 20% off purchases for all veterans and active-duty Armed Forces members during weekly Military Mondays year round. Because Veterans Day falls on a Monday this year, the discount was increased to 25%.

Commitment to communities

Beyond the Team RWB sponsorship, The Vitamin Shoppe’s wider ‘Commitment to Communities’ includes a collection of charitable initiatives that advance health and wellness across diverse populations.

Since 2007, the retailer has partnered with Vitamin Angels, raising over $17 million through in-store fundraisers and several golf tournaments to provide nutrition interventions to underserved pregnant women and children in the U.S. and around the world.

“The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements supports Vitamin Angels with twice-yearly campaigns in December and May, where all of our stores raise contributions from customers at the point of sale,” a spokesperson for The Vitamin Shoppe shared. “Donations are encouraged with a promo: All customers who donate $5 to Vitamin Angels receive $10 off their next purchase of $50.”

In 2023, The Vitamin Shoppe also launched a three-year partnership with microloan platform Kiva, providing $97,000 to date in microfinancing to over 2,800 borrowers, 90% of which were women-owned businesses.
