Probiota Americas is just over two weeks away. With key scientific insights into the category’s most disruptive technology – A.I., CRISPR, and -omics – and a look at the microbiomes of centenarians, don’t wait to register!

Probiota Americas 2023, hosted by NutraIngredients-USA at the Westin Chicago River North in Chicago, June 14-16, will feature world-leading experts to present the latest scientific, technical, regulatory, business, and market insights. 

The three-day conference takes a magnifying glass to all-things microbiome-related, what areas are growing, and in which direction.

Regulatory updates, cutting edge science, and market opportunity

Day 2 kicks off with a blockbuster session featuring representatives from the US Food & Drug Administration and Health Canada. First up is Leslie Tompkins Steen, PhD, from FDA’s Office of Dietary Supplement Programs, and then Dr Brian McNeill from Health Canada. Drs Steen and McNeill will then join a panel discussion that also features Solange Henoud from Lallemand Health Solutions, Dr Corey Hilmas from KGK Science, and Ivan Wasserman from Amin Talati Wasserman.

After a networking break, the conference resumes with a session on Aging – What can we Learn from Centenarians? First up is Mark Haupt, MD, IFF’s Chief Medical Officer, and then Dr Damian Plichta from the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard will explore the impact of the Phageome (virome) in these long-living individuals.

Damian will then join a panel also featuring Sandra Saville, IPA’s Director of Education and Communication, and Cecilia Shiroma Kian from Givaudan, to further explore the topic of health aging to improve healthspan.

The afternoon sessions open with a look at the opportunity for pet supplements, and features a fireside chat with Bill Bookout from the National Animal Supplement Council to get an idea of the size of the prize. This is followed by a presentation by Holly Ganz, PhD, Co-founder and Chief Science Officer, AnimalBiome on developing supplement products to modulate microbiome health in companion animals.

Day 2 finishes with an exciting session on the disruptive tech to drive next generation solutions, and features experts in A.I., CRISPR, -omics, and genetic modification, including Katherine Chacón-Vargas, PhD from Synbiotic Health, Dr Lutz Krause from Microba Life Sciences, Meichen (Echo) Pan from North Carolina State University/CRISPR lab, and Dr. Zack Abbott from ZBiotics.

After a full day of learning, attendees can then join their peers for the Probiota Cruise on Lake Michigan, hosted by NutraIngredients-USA.

The day is not all about speakers and presentations. Attendees will have the chance to grow their networks via speed networking and our series of roundtable lunches.
