Monica Rubio spent many years as a food consultant and recently made the shift to the fascinating world of the gut microbiome. She was recently named the director of operations at Stellar Biotics.

Stellar Biotics was founded by Dr. Luba Sichel, a reputable microbiologist, who created the Cell Fragment Technology used to lyse the probiotic strain (lactobacillus rhamnosus DV) in the company’s products.

“Dr. Sichel is really an inspirational female leader. She’s a leading microbiologist. She has eminence in the research and academic field and she's also a very human and warm person to work with. I really like the team that she's leading and our team is more women than men, so that says a lot about Stellar Biotics.”

As Rubio adjusts to the new role at work, she is also preparing for perhaps her biggest role yet.

“I am very excited to be welcoming a baby girl. It's our first, so we're looking forward to seeing how we manage it all,” said Rubio.
