NutraWomen Wednesday: Nancy Duitch, CEO SeraLabs
After losing her sister and brother in their early 20’s to the heart condition Long QT syndrome, Duitch was inspired to live and work in health and wellness.
“I started out in health and wellness in the beauty industry and then moved over to health and wellness products and got into the infomercial industry,” said Duitch.
Today, Duitch is running SeraLabs, a health, wellness, and beauty business she started in 2018. But getting there wasn’t an easy feat. Early on in her career, a crude comment was made during a job interview. “I realized from that moment on that I would probably have to work towards being my own boss — and that’s what I’ve become.”
Duitch said keys to her success include being an analytical communicator as well as making decisions based on facts and "taking the emotion out of it."
“I was called names because I was a tough businesswoman. A man they would call ‘tough’ — a woman they called something else that begins with a ‘B,’” recalled Duitch.
The CEO has continued to expand on her company’s success by adding CBD products to her lineup and recently inked a strategic partnership with international star Nicole Kidman.
“It's really interesting now that I got a huge resume and people can see my successes, I get the respect that I think I should have gotten years ago,” said Duitch.
