Comet Bio recently announced it has been selected by brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev to join its 100+ Accelerator to pilot technology on brewer's grain. The program aims to “mobilize the world’s brightest minds to solve some of the most pressing global sustainability issues.”
To support environmental efforts, the 100+ Accelerator program allows AB InBev to partner with companies who can deliver breakthrough advancements in sustainability.

Smart agriculture
One way Comet Bio seeks to aid farmers is by offering them the opportunity to utilize their whole harvest. The ingredient manufacturer uses a novel nutrition extraction process that upcycles non-GMO crops leftovers which caught the attention Anheuser-Busch InBev.
“We received over 1200 submissions from around the globe across all six challenges. After a rigorous review, 17 start-ups have been selected to join the second 100+ Accelerator cohort,” said Maisie Devine, Global Director, Sustainability Investments & Accelerator. “The future starts today by collaborating with visionary companies like Comet Bio.”
The ingredient manufacturer and 16 other applicants will receive support, mentors and funds to incubate, experiment and amplify their solutions at scale.

The selected 17 applicants will receive support, mentors and funds so the company can incubate, experiment and amplify their solutions at scale.
