CRN welcomes eleven new companies, including first CBD members

The Council for Responsible Nutrition has announced eleven new companies have joined the association’s membership ranks, including its first CBD members.

The association announced last month that it was opening up its membership to companies that market hemp-derived CBD and whole spectrum hemp extract in food and dietary supplements. The new cohort of members includes CBD-related firms CV Sciences, OLEO Inc. and Demetrix.

“Responsible marketers of hemp-derived CBD and whole spectrum hemp deserve to have a voice in the industry and in Washington, D.C., and CRN is proud to provide a platform for these companies to join us as we work to create a regulatory path forward to market CBD in food and dietary supplements,”said Steve Mister, president & CEO, CRN, when the membership expansion was announced last month​.

The new members include th following companies as voting members: CV Sciences, Inc.; Morre-tec Industries; Natural Remedies; Novozymes A/S; OLEO, Inc.; OmniActive Health Technologies; and Solara Labs.

Chestnut Communications; Demetrix Inc.; and Hyman Phelps & McNamara, P.C. have joined as associate members, while Faberlic has joined as an international member.
