US Military, A.I., and mechanisms of action: First speakers announced for IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas
Delegate registration is now open for the IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas in Vancouver, with speakers already confirmed covering topics including the US Military, Artificial Intelligence, and probiotic mechanisms of action.

The IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas, the leading annual event for the prebiotic, probiotic and the microbiota focused food and pharma industries in the Americas, will take place June 24-26, 2019 at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, Canada.

The advance program for the event is now available can be viewed HERE. The event will feature world-leading experts to present the latest scientific, technical and market insights.

A shifting regulatory landscape, AI, the microbiome and the military, and more!

Key themes running through the event include state of the art A.I. approaches to probiotic R&D, regulatory changes across the Americas, scientific breakthroughs and emerging health benefits.

Already confirmed is Dr Ida Gisela Pantoja-Feliciano from the US Army Natick Soldier, Research, Development and Engineering Center who will discuss specific studies from the DoD looking at the microbiota of the military and the impact of diet and stressors, and how nutrition and probiotics might impact on warfighter health and performance.

Also confirmed is Dr Anton Fliri from SystaMedic who will explore microbiome modelling and AI insights in to the microbiome.  Computational modelling and artificial intelligence provide new tools to study the microbiome, identify novel therapies and better understand these complex biological systems.

Representatives from regulatory bodies from Canada to Brazil will provide updates on current regulatory frameworks pertaining to probiotics, and we’ll also discuss initiatives to harmonize probiotic guidelines via CODEX Alimentarius.

We’ll also feature a presentation by Michiel Kleerebezem, Professor of Bacterial Metagenomics and Host Microbe Interactions at Wageningen University, The Netherlands, who will discuss probiotic mechanisms of action.
