FoodState’s new VP of Social Impact
FoodState, creators of the supplement brands MegaFood and INNATE Response, announced the appointment of Sara Newmark as its Vice President of Social Impact, responsible for all social responsibility and sustainability efforts as well as industry and regulatory affairs.
Newmark joined FoodState after 12 years at New Chapter, where she was most recently the Senior Director of Sustainability.
“I'm eager and excited to be joining the FoodState team and think that my personal passion for building resilient communities and my interest in the environmental and agricultural industries makes this new relationship a perfect fit,” said Newmark. “FoodState has high standards across the board in this industry, so I'm looking forward to being a part of that.”
Leading the development of FoodState's social responsibility and environmental sustainability efforts, Sara will ensure that the company's day to day business practices and decision making support these principles. She will ensure that all actions by FoodState live up to the company's high standards of ecological stewardship, from ingredient supply chain transparency and packaging to the company's efforts to improve lives and inspire others.
“We are well-respected for our stance on transparency, authenticity and commitment to our vision of curing nutritional poverty from the soil through to personal nourishment,” says FoodState CEO Robert Craven. “With the addition of Sara to our team, we are telling the world that we are committed to advancing our social impact agenda at a rapid and more effective rate. We couldn't be more thrilled to have her onboard.”
