5 – Argo Tea: The Starbucks of tea?
Founded in 2003 in Chicago with a mission to become the 'Starbucks of tea', Argo has since expanded beyond its retail roots (it began as a chain of cafes - and still operates 40).
Like Guayaki, Argo's sales exploded after its moved beyond loose tea and tea bags into the ready-to-drink arena in 2010, and notched up sales of $20m in 2013. Today, it supplies 16,000+ stores.
