NPA hires new director of government affairs

The Natural Products Association has appointed Michael Kelley as its new Director, Government Affairs, with responsibility for overseeing NPA’s interaction with the US Congress and management of its PAC.

Kelley joins the NPA from Mayer Brown LLP where he was a government affairs specialist in the firm’s Washington, DC office. At Mayer Brown he represented a variety of clients before the legislative and executive branches of government in a variety of areas including appropriations, energy, environmental issues, consumer protection, food and drug issues, international affairs, online gaming, taxes, telecommunications, trade and transportation issues.

Prior to Mayer Brown, Kelley was Managing Director for Congressional Relations for The Moffett Group where he led the firm's work with its international clients as well as the firm’s domestic client portfolio with Republican members of Congress.
