Dr Taylor Wallace joins NOF from CRN
The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) hired Taylor Wallace, PhD, CFS, FACN, as its Senior Director of Science, Policy and Government Affairs to drive NOF’s focus on health and nutrition as key components of osteoporosis prevention.
Amy Porter, NOF CEO and Executive Director, said: “Taylor brings the perfect mix of scientific and legislative experience we need to drive our efforts to educate and advocate for better bone health at the national level.
“With his deep background in food science and nutrition, Taylor’s addition to the NOF executive team underscores our commitment to preventing osteoporosis and broken bones by promoting the importance of diet and exercise as key components to building strong bones for life.”
Dr Wallace was previously with the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) as the Senior Director of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs.
“With NOF’s latest prevalence data showing that approximately nine million adults in the U.S. have osteoporosis and an additional 48 million have low bone mass, there’s never been a more urgent need for comprehensive science, policy and legislative agendas to reduce the incidence of this debilitating disease,” said Dr Wallace. “Only by working with congressional champions and like-minded corporate and government partners can we achieve our goal of educating the public and motivating them to take action and protect their bones.”
